White house update. 2br bathrooms done-ish

The 2nd bathroom in the 2 bed room side. I am really happy with this vanity wall. Nice light in this little guy, with a window in the center.

Tile mosaic shower wall. Glass coming.

The master bath vanity. This is mostly Ikea. I added the wood legs (recycled from the renovation) because I was a little short in the middle, but I think it worked out nicely.

The shower/bath marble tile. I saved a little by just doing the one wall with the more expensive tiles.

First day of school porch pic. 2012

My 7th and 8th graders. Wow!

Empire fishing trip.

We made a night and a day of the last few days of summer vacation on a boat in Empire. It was a very early morning. Fishing starts very, very early.

Heading out. Mathilda and Mose driving the boat.

First stop. Mathilda is ready.

All my fisher people at sunrise.

Mose was decidedly the winner of the most fish caught award.

Here he is casting.

And seconds later. Here he is catching.

He lets us know who has caught the only fish so far and how many Reds that is.

After awhile everyone gets into the action. Mj gets a big sheephead.

I was the happy reeler inner of this nice trout.

Then we really started hitting it. One after another.

Shrimpers were catching, too.

And, of course, Josh caught a few ;)

The haul. So much fun. And as Josh said "This was the perfect fishing trip, everybody caught fish and nobody cried." Yes, fish for dinner.

Eliza's new room.

Mood board for little girl room.

Love these three together.

Svinga chair from Ikea.

Eloise wire lamp from Arteriors home.

Rope bin collection from Serena and Lily.

My girl is 14!

Mathilda turned 14 recently and here are a few photos to document this day/week. Teenager in years but, thankfully, not at heart. (yet)

B day morning. She supposedly sets her alarm every year for 4:47am (the exact time she was born) to wake up and wish herself happy birthday.  I really like that. :)

Presents first.

She got lots of money for spending.

A birthday donut to mark the occasion.

For lunch she was feeling very "grown up" so she suggested going to Cafe Degas where she ordered the cheese board.

For dinner, Little Tokyo hibachi and Brocatos for dessert.

For her official friend party, she had a swimming party, as usual. Since she had it on the 14th and she was turning 14 she decided it should be a heart themed affair. Love a girl with a concept.

She and her friend Gabby made the cake themselves. I was very proud.

Table with a few heart shaped extras.

Happy with watermelon.

Friend pool pic.

All the candles, and many more.

One Widget.

They're back! Tooth fairy widget for Nate. More coming soon. (Once studio is done.)

Keewaydin pick up. 2012

We traveled to Vermont to pick up the kiddos. They both had a really great summer. I think Mose enjoyed Wiantinaug because he had much more freedom. And Mathilda had a great self esteem moment during her trip, when she single portaged her canoe for a mile. (carried a canoe on her shoulders by herself).

Here is the Mathilda's traditional run across the camp for our hello hug.

Her first activity was fishing, where she caught a few. Little ones.

Psyched for canoeing.

She learned how to a roll over in her kayak this year. So she was in the kayaking show for all the parents.

We went to get Mose, who was playing tennis. Josh gets a great hello hug.

Mose wrote us that he lost his retainer while at camp. We asked him about it and caught a few great shots during his explanation. Duh, I,I....in my pocket.

MJ finally gets her hello hug!

We went out for creamees!

Last campfire for Songa girls.

Mose gets his baseball K. Which is given to boys who show a daily interest in an activity and who show positive results and sportsmanship.

Mose and Josh took boats out and went fishing in Lake Dunmore. Mose caught a ton of
fish. Here's a beauty.

Last day formation at Keewaydin.

At Sunday pick up. Waiting for us. "What took you so long?!"

Mj saying bye to staff.

And a tearful hug from cabin buddy Veronica.

We spent an extra day in Middlebury. Walking around town and hunting for more creamees and swimming holes.

MJ finds a waterside.

And more creamees.
